Soundbars: how to make audio stand out in your entertainment system
Soundbars have burst onto the audio market, standing out thanks to the features they offer, whether playing video games, listening to music or watching series and movies with quality audio from the comfort of your home. This extensive range of options has made them an essential piece of kit in any home, significantly improving the sound quality of our screens. Indeed, they can be compared to the effect of glasses on failing eyesight: they improve sharpness, and show every minor detail in all of its frequencies.

Key features of a good soundbar

Users will always wonder whether the sound is going to be loud enough. Well, the soundbar best suited to you will depend on what you need. A soundbar’s power must be between 50 W and 100 W in order to be heard properly in an average lounge or other room measuring 20/40 sqm. If fitted with a subwoofer, this should be between 100 W and 150 W in power in order to cover the whole room. This would be the case if you wanted to use the soundbar for home cinema, turning your room into a movie theatre. However, if you are looking to play your games close to the screen, then 10/20 W of peak power will be enough to pick up every minor nuance.

One important aspect in a soundbar is its connections, since these must be suitable to connect it correctly to a multitude of screens such as TV sets and others. The inputs most recommended for use are HDMI, ARC or optical input. The vast majority also include Bluetooth and analogue audio input.

Another important aspect is the stereo feel of a sound system. This “feel” comes from a range of factors, such as the physical distance between the two channels (left and right). Longer soundbars will generally have a better stereo feel, producing enhanced sound effects in movies and series.

Many bar models come with digital effects that significantly improve this stereo feel, but worsen the overall sound quality. Ideally, the bar should be wide in shape and centred relative to the screen.

The number of speakers in a soundbar will also be a key factor in choosing the right one. There are numerous types of systems. The most economical 2.0 systems are useful if you just want to watch TV or play a little music. 7.1 systems or higher are suitable if you are planning to set up a professional-style home theatre.

ES Gaming soundbars that will enhance your gaming experience

Energy Sistem’s sub-brand ES Gaming has two gaming soundbar models in its extensive catalogue of gaming products.

The Gaming Soundbar ESG 4 Pulsar, whose surround sound, 20 W of power and RGB lights will place you inside the game like never before. Perfect to use with your computer in your bedroom or living room. You choose where to play the next game!

The Gaming Soundbar ESG 2 Sonar will expand your gaming options thanks to its optimum performance and RGB lights. Enjoy impeccable sound on both TV and PC. You will not miss even the tiniest detail.

Style, quality and comfort in equal parts

The fact that TV sets are getting thinner and thinner also has a downside: slimmer TVs also means smaller speakers. It is for this reason that accessories such as soundbars or home cinemas are the perfect way to offset this worsening sound.

Ease of transport is also one of their key features, as you can take them from room to room and set up your own cinema or gaming experience anywhere around the house. One aspect that differentiates them from home cinemas is that they are not difficult to set up, are not split into several parts, and do not have annoying wiring.

Plus, their size and shape mean soundbars are always a perfect fit, whether set up in the living room or bedroom, making them the ideal companion for our screens with their simple, modern design.
